How Will Becoming a Nonprofit Affect Our Patients?

Exciting News: EDCMT is Becoming a Nonprofit

We are thrilled to announce that the Eating Disorder Center of Montana (EDCMT) is transitioning to become a nonprofit organization. This is an exciting step forward for us, and we’re hopeful about the opportunities this will bring for both our center and the community we serve. We want to take a moment to address any questions you may have about this change, how it will affect your treatment, and how we will use the support of our community to further our mission.

Why Are We Becoming a Nonprofit?

As a nonprofit, we will be able to direct all our resources toward our mission: providing compassionate, comprehensive care for those struggling with eating disorders. Our goal is to expand our ability to support our patients and continue growing the services that make a meaningful impact on the lives of those who walk through our doors.

This change is not just a shift in our organizational structure, but a step toward strengthening the foundation of what we offer—both now and in the future.

How Will Becoming a Nonprofit Affect Our Patients?

This is one of the most important questions we considered when making the decision to become a nonprofit. After thoughtful discussions with our legal team, insurance biller, financial team, and leadership, we can confidently say that the transition will not affect the care or services we provide to you.

Here’s what will remain unchanged:

Our focus will remain on delivering the highest quality of care and support throughout your recovery journey, and we are committed to maintaining the services you rely on.

What Will Change in the Future?

While the transition to nonprofit status won’t change our programs immediately, we are excited about the possibilities for future growth and improvement:

Looking Toward the Future

Many of these exciting goals will take time, and some may be a few years down the road. However, we are deeply optimistic about the future of EDCMT and the possibilities that lie ahead. With the continued support of our community—our patients, staff, donors, and partners—we believe that together, we can turn these goals into reality.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve you, and we are excited for the next chapter in our journey to provide the best care possible to those who need it most.

Thank You for Your Support

Thank you for being a part of the EDCMT community. As always, if you have any questions or concerns about how this transition may affect you, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here to support you every step of the way, and we’re excited to continue walking alongside you in your recovery journey.
