ADMISSION PROCESS FOR PATIENTS

Your first contact with EDCMT

If you feel uncomfortable, scared, or anxious about the idea of treatment, you are not alone. This is a common feeling that we understand. When you call us, you’ll be connected directly to a single team member, whose sole focus is speaking with individuals who are interested in treatment. They can talk to you right away or set up a time to go over common pre-admission questions and concerns such as:

  • Who we treat (everyone!)
  • What treatment looks like
  • How much treatment costs
  • How your health insurance works
  • Reassure you that there is no such thing as ‘sick enough.’ Everyone deserves support and care.

Creating a plan for treatment

After the initial call, we’ll set up a time to meet with you virtually or in-person. This meeting allows us to get to know you, your symptoms and your unique struggles. We know that every disorder is experienced differently, and work with you to find the right level of care and plan for treatment.

The team members at your first meeting may include:

  • A therapist/intake specialist
  • A program dietitian
  • A social worker/care manager
  • A psychiatrist (if needed)
