A week-long community initiative & fundraiser to bring attention to the importance of having a body inclusive community.

Join us May 15-21, 2022 for community events both virtual & in-person and a silent auction to raise money for two leading organizations working to support mental health–Suffer Out Loud & Project Heal.

We’re looking for community partners for this year’s initiative. Are you interested in hosting or sponsoring an event, making a donation to the silent auction, helping promote EBBIB or have another idea to share?

“Saying I’m fat is (and should be) the same as saying my shoes are black, the clouds are fluffy, and Bob Saget is tall. It’s not good, it’s not bad, it just is. The only negativity that this word carries is that which has been socially constructed around it.… We don’t need to stop using the word fat, we need to stop the hatred that our world connects with the word fat.”

We know...

ALL BODIES DESERVE RESPECT, CARE & NOURISHMENT–NO MATTER WHAT.

Why Suffer Out Loud?

Eating disorders are serious mental illnesses surrounded with a lot of stigma. Those who struggle with eating disorders are at a greater risk of suicide. Suffer Out Loud is leading an effort to reduce suicide rates in Montana by changing the conversation around mental illness.

Why Project HEAL?

Project HEAL is a non-profit serving those struggling with eating disorders that the current system is failing. Their goal is to break down barriers to treatment to give every person a shot at recovery. Their programs help people get the care they need and have been repeatedly denied.

We wanted to acknowledge that many of the creators of this initiative hold unearned privilege, including thin privilege. We hope this can be a small step towards building a bigger conversation that better includes the voices of those most affected by living in a world that doesn’t support all bodies equally.

We welcome your ideas and feedback.
